Dr. Armando Joya Munguía graduated in Medicine from the Universidad de Guadalajara and completed his surgical residency at Social Services SSA, training as a doctor, surgeon, and internist.
His post-graduate training included Specialization in General Surgery at the National Medical Center IMSS in Torreón, where he also served as Adjunct Professor of Laparoscopic Surgery at General Hospital Zone 16.
He then pursued advanced training abroad, completing two specializations in Miami: Oncology Surgery at Jackson Memorial Center and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
His credentials include Board Certification in General Surgery and Recertification by the Mexican National Committee of Digestive Endoscopies at Valentín Gómez Farías Hospital ISSSTE in Guadalajara. As President of the Specialization College of General Surgery for Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, he holds a leadership role in the regional surgical community.
