Alejandro Lopez, MD, is one of the most respected bariatric surgeons and the leader of our bariatric centers in Mexico. After graduating from medical school at the University of Guadalajara, Dr. Lopez completed advanced fellowship training in weight loss surgery at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Since 2005, Dr. Lopez has performed over 20,000 bariatric surgeries in Mexico and has published research in several surgical journals. He performs gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, LAP-BAND®, revision procedures, single incision procedures, and more — always preferring laparoscopic techniques to minimize scarring and expedite recovery.
