Are these real ALO Bariatrics patients?
Yes. Every photo and video on this page is a real ALO Bariatrics patient who signed a release agreeing to share their transformation publicly. We do not use stock photos, AI-generated images, or models. If you'd like to speak with one of these patients directly, our coordinators can sometimes connect you (with the patient's permission) — just ask.
How long after surgery were the "after" photos taken?
Most "after" photos are taken between 9 and 18 months after surgery — that's when patients typically reach their lowest stable weight after a gastric sleeve or gastric bypass. Some patients in the gallery are 2+ years out, which gives an honest picture of long-term results, not just the initial weight loss honeymoon.
What kind of weight loss can I expect after gastric sleeve or bypass?
A typical gastric sleeve patient loses 60–70% of their excess body weight over 12–18 months. A typical gastric bypass patient loses 70–80% of excess weight. Individual results vary based on starting BMI, age, activity, and how strictly the patient follows the post-op protein and exercise plan. The patients in this gallery are within those normal ranges — not outliers.
Did these patients have any loose skin?
Loose skin is normal after major weight loss, especially when you lose 80–150+ lb. Some patients tone significantly with strength training and time; others opt for body contouring surgery 12–24 months after their bariatric procedure. ALO Bariatrics operates at three accredited hospitals in Mexico: Hospital Dreams in Tijuana, Hospital Puerta de Hierro in Guadalajara, and Centro Médico Joya in Puerto Vallarta. Patients choose the city based on flight access, recovery preference, and pricing.
